Course Overview

Red Cross Advanced First Aid is an advanced workplace first aid program that prepares people for emergency response in higher-risk workplace environments. The course combines classroom theory, scenario-based practice, and skills evaluation to develop the assessment and treatment skills required of an Advanced Workplace First Aid Attendant. The program includes Basic Life Support (BLS) content, along with primary and secondary surveys, patient care, airway and respiratory emergencies, circulatory emergencies, trauma care, and considerations for transporting an injured person from the workplace to a healthcare facility.
