The Heart and Stroke Standard First Aid course is a two day program designed to meet the First Aid and CPR requirements of those who need to take the Heart and Stroke course. This First Aid course is combined with the BLS Provider CPR for Healthcare Providers to meet the specific needs of your professional practice. This course is approved by OH&S.
Heart and Stroke Standard First Aid Course Details
- Time: 8:00am – 6:30pm (with BLS Provider CPR) or 4:00 pm without BLS Provider.
- Duration: 16 hours
- Cost: $170.00 + GST = $178.50 (Standard First Aid/BLS Provider Level)
- Certificate: The First Aid certificate is valid for 3 year and the CPR component is valid for 1 year

The Standard First Aid CPR AED Level C course is a comprehensive, two-day program designed to meet the needs of the workplace. This course covers key areas required by workplace regulators in most provinces, including:

- Head, Spinal and Pelvic Injuries

*Annual CPR Renewal is recommended, as the CPR certification is registered with the Foundation for 1 year.
For employees that perform healthcare functions or are regulated healthcare professionals our Standard First Aid BLS Provider course is preferred.
The Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C course contains up-to-date content and science from the 2010 Guidelines for First Aid, CPR and ECC. In this course, you will learn the essential skills of patient care to protect and support the life of a suddenly ill or injured person until emergency medical services arrive. Instruction will cover first aid skills such as those that help in the control of bleeding, shock management, stabilizing fractures and dislocations. It is also open to the general public.
