Course Overview
Forklift training provides essential operator instruction for powered industrial lift trucks, combining classroom fundamentals with hands-on evaluation. The course emphasizes safe load handling, stacking, load security, and safe manoeuvring in tight spaces, including hazard recognition in mixed traffic areas.
The course references the CSA B335 safety standard for lift trucks, applicable ANSI/ITSDF guidance, and Alberta OH&S Code requirements for powered mobile equipment. Core stability concepts include the stability triangle, combined centre of gravity, load centre, and the stability pyramid that affects raised loads.

To receive certification, participants must: Attend and participate in all course components Successfully demonstrate safe operation during the practical evaluation Complete the knowledge check as directed by the instructor
