Course Overview
Red Cross First Aid and CPR Instructor Recertification is for current Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR Instructors who need to renew their teaching certification. Under the current recertification model, instructors recertify each discipline separately, including First Aid Instructor Core, Professional Responder Instructor, and Wilderness and Remote First Aid Instructor, among others.
Recertification begins with a prerequisite check, followed by completion of the required recertification components for the discipline being renewed. Completion may also recertify Teaching Experience Supervisor (TES) and Youth Leader certification, where applicable.
