The Government of Alberta is implementing changes to parts of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Code. Effective March 31, 2023, Updated OHS Code will require employers to ensure workers are fit tested for the hearing protection devices they use and wear at their workplace.

AT Safety Training is pleased to announce that we will be offering Hearing Protection Fit Testing in order to ensure that our clients meet the updated CSA Z94.2-14 (R2019) as per Alberta Occupational Health & Safety, Hearing Protection Devices – Performance, Selection, Care and Use. The change to the standard is intended to prevent noise induced hearing loss. The effectiveness of hearing protection is greatly reduced if the equipment does not fit correctly or is not inserted or worn correctly.
