Course Overview

This four-hour course covers atmospheric hazards, testing requirements, and monitoring equipment used in industrial workplaces. Participants review Alberta Occupational Health and Safety requirements, competent worker responsibilities, confined-space Codes of Practice, testing procedures, ventilation, explosive limits, and occupational exposure limits.

Completion & Certification

Completion Requirements

Participants must attend the full course and successfully complete the course examination. Participants who meet both requirements receive a Gas Detection certificate valid for three years.

Use gas-monitoring equipment
