Course Overview
Air Purifying Respirator (APR) is a respiratory protection training course for people who use air purifying respirators in industrial environments where dust, mist, fumes, or organic vapours may be present. The course covers respirator use, inspection, cleaning, seal checks, and the limitations of APR systems. This in-person course combines classroom theory with practical training. Participants learn hazard awareness, pre-use inspection and cleaning, correct donning procedures, user seal checks, APR limitations, and when to replace APR canisters and filters. This APR training is Suncor and Syncrude approved. It is also included as part of AT Safety Training’s full Respiratory Protective Equipment course.
